Aluminium
Aluminium 5052-H32
Marine-grade non-heat-treatable formable sheet. The deep-drawing default.
5052 is an Al-Mg alloy with non-heat-treatable strain-hardening tempers. Excellent salt-water corrosion resistance and the best formability among 5xxx series. Used for fuel tanks, marine panels, deep-drawn enclosures.

Use Cases
Sheet metal forming
Fuel tanks, reservoirs, deep-drawn enclosures. Best formability among 5xxx series at room temperature.
Marine panels
Small boat hulls, hatch covers, deck plate. Excellent salt-water corrosion resistance.
Pressure vessels
Light-duty ammonia or refrigerant containment.
Architectural sheet
Cladding panels in coastal regions.
Design Notes
- Non-heat-treatable — strength comes from cold-work tempers (H32, H34, H38). Don't try to age-harden.
- If formability isn't critical and higher strength is needed, switch to 5083.
